My 91 Jimmy wants to surge if I give it just a bit of gas. 5.7L TBI.When I'm wheelin I have to use both feet just to keep the idle up so it won't die (tough on the brakes). At just a slight bit of throttle it acts like I've got a lumpy cam. changed the filter but nothing. Could it be the pump or fuel pressure? Thanks in advance for any help.:doah:

Throw any codes?

could be the IAC, EGR heading south, yada, yada....

Scan it (or paperclip it) first. I doubt the pressure would be a problem unless you have messed with it, barring a bad spring or diaphram in the reg

Throttle Posistion sensor? You may not get a code from a faulty one either.

I changed one on a Ford Taurus that was causing the symtoms you describe.
