Throttle problem

My 91 Jimmy wants to surge if I give it just a bit of gas. 5.7L TBI.When I'm wheelin I have to use both feet just to keep the idle up so it won't die (tough on the brakes). At just a slight bit of throttle it acts like I've got a lumpy cam. changed the filter but nothing. Could it be the pump or fuel pressure? Thanks in advance for any help.

Throw any codes?

could be the IAC, EGR heading south, yada, yada....

Scan it (or paperclip it) first. I doubt the pressure would be a problem unless you have messed with it, barring a bad spring or diaphram in the reg

Throttle Posistion sensor? You may not get a code from a faulty one either.

I changed one on a Ford Taurus that was causing the symtoms you describe.
