Tie rod question

If you look at the pic below, I realized while putting on a new steering stabilizer that if I grab ahold of #9 and twist it, it will move back to front about a quarter of a turn.

Could this be causing my wandering when going down the road? The new stabilizer helped a little. Guessing I will need new tie rod ends and an alignment?

I assume you are talking about the 4x4 diagram #9?

it might be. If your tierod is looseyour toe could be messed up.

Toe out causes your tires to wander alot. It probably just needs the jam nut tightened, but it should have an alignment as well.
