I bought the kit that is the bearing and seal in one. I installed one bearing. It’s seated all the way but it’s protruding some. Is this normal? I believe the originals had the seal flush with the end of the tube housing.

Maybe it’s supposed to protrude a 1/4”? Like the instructions say? Mine doesn’t stick out that much.
that bearing normally a press fit, how tight does the updated bearing fit in the tube ? If it spins in the tube that is a bad thing.
It’s tight. I drove it in with a race press tool and hammer. Just don’t know why it’s protruding like that
I wouldn't be to concerned, the plunge cut of the axle tube is probably not as precise, as long as it does stick out. Looks to me this is a work around to reuse axles with worn bearing surface. I think you'll be all right with that stick out.
