tips/tricks 12 bolt set up help

With the solid spacer you don't have to torque it down like a crush sleeve, torque numbers are way less.

setting up the spacer sucks Gotta get some good free time (good amount of time) to play with numbers on the shims but now I figured it out it is not so bad just takes time not a 30 min job by far.

If you are using a crush sleeve setup I always start to crush it in a vice then put it in. It makes it a lot easier

Brass hammer and brass drift. 2 indispensable tools in my gear setup tool box. Also I do not use the old pinion nut I got get a normal nut to zip down when doing a setup.

I know I am late but for future reference the pics above of the upper pinion bearing are completely normal. It is typical to need to tap the upper bearing down on the pinion then use the pinion nut to go down the rest of the way. Hence the reason I use a non locking boring everyday nut on the pinion

Done all that there and getting close just need some time alone in garage and should get it right.
