ok i got these rims and they r 9 inches wide and was wondering wats the widest tire i can fit on these. these r the same rims that r currently on my k10 but they arent as deep. these rims were very rusty but i cleaned em up but just wondering the widest tire i can go.

If they are in fact a 9" wide wheel then a 12.5 wide tire is about a safe bet.

For the record, they don't look like a 9" wide wheel. May just be the way the pic is taken cause in the pic it looks like a 7". But I bet they are more like an 8" wide wheel which will still hold a 12.5 wide tire. The size should be stamped in the rim somewhere, maybe on the back side if it's not too rusty. On the actual rim, not the center section.

If you are measuring from outside to outside the lip and it came to 9", then it would be maybe an 8" wide rim.

For the width of tire you could mount about anything you want on it. On my off-road rig I run 15.5" wide tires on 8" wide rims and so does a buddy of mine. He drove his to the trail and back for years and put thousands of miles on this setup with no issues. Probably wouldn't do it on a pavement pounder simply because it's not optimal for tire wear and handling, but would be okay. An 8" rim is just about perfect for a 12.5" wide tire that is pretty common.

cool thanks yes i did mesure from outside to outside and got 9 inches and there is a little lip so they r bout 8 inches now i have these same rims on my truck but they r deeper and look to be at least10 inches and i have 35 12.5s does anyone know were to find 35 10.50s or 11.50s? that would be much appreciated

Why? 12.5s on an 8" wide wheel is fine.

35x10.5s are gonna be tough to find, expensive, and have few choices in flavors and 11.5s may be non existent. Stick with what you have.

well i drag race it in the sand at a local track and wanted some skinnier tires for the sand

He said sand, and drag racing.... MUST HAVE PICTURES!!!! My favorite off road event!!!

So i take it these are for the front? Maybe i missed it. Because we like to run wider tires in sand, bigger foot print that helps for hooking up. Unless your running paddles in the back, then carry on lol.

no i have 4 of them but this isnt deep sand its just a 300ft sand drag track and the sand is only like 8 inches or more deep. on this track skinnier has always been better

Oh I was thinking like our sand drags (Pic whore hijack engage :D)
