Whats the largest Size the stock internal spare tire carrier can take.

The one on the outside as well.

I have put a 35" on the inside carrier before in my 76 blazer but i don't think a 35" would fit in my 89 since the rear seat sits further back than a 76.

a 33 would fit in my 85... not sure about bigger stuff tho cause I yanked the rear seat and the stock tire carrier a while ago...

The 88 I have now has a 33" mounted inside as a spare and it hits the tailgate. gotta push on the gate to get it closed. The rear carrier on your truck will hold a 33", but it has to be mounted on a 8" rim to fit the retaining bolt. a 10" rim is to deep. I think when I measured that truck, it would hold a 35" only because of the 1" body lift. But you have to watch the weight on the outside carrier. The way it's mounted really wasn't designed to carry a "big" tire. I was going to put a 33" on any 8" aluminum rim, to help keep the weight down.

I know a 35 won't fit to big to close the tailgate. don't know bout the smaller tires though.

My Rear from DP_90K5 can hold a 17/40 x15 Ground Hawg

Rear visibility? Hell no, we don't need that! /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

I 'member a buddy of mine once asked me how my '74 cornered, cuz he was gonna drive her a bit.

I said, "No." /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
