My 85 had 31s from the factory w/ 3.08 gears. You should have no problems. When i went to 33s is when I decreased engine performance and then the 35s kept me out of OD.

The question's fairly generic, but you might have better luck in the '73-'91 area....also, what diameter are your tires now????
