Tire Shopping for the DD/WT/Tow Rig

I run Duratracs on my 2012 Ram DRW and they've been great for about 70k km. Mostly tow/haul but sees a lot of gravel, mud, snow, ice. Now that I see the Nitto Exo Grapplers, I'm debating which one's going to go on there in the spring, leaning toward the Nittos just to try something different on there.

A lot ofor guys run cooper. I wonder what the st does as far as tread life. I belive I used to run cooper discover at on a company truck I used to have. I remember feeling wishy washy with them when I got them. We started running Firestone destination AT after cooper.

When I was with that company we used to run 40000 a year and snow plow. We smoked a set in 12 months. On cooper and Firestone.

I have the dunlop mud rover max tractions. 285/75/16 They tow great and have the aggressive tread to get out of mud if needed. They are real soft though. They are 10 times better than my old firestone MT's. I plan to go to cooper sts or nitto trail grapplers on the next set. But at 1500 miles a year max it might be awhile.

Lots of summer highway driving for me. Look awesome but that soft compound might be a recipe for 25 or 30000.

That would be 2 sets a year

So a set of Cooper Discoverer ST 10ply's just came into my work with about 90% tread on them. I can pick up the whole set of 285/75/16's for $100. That being said, anyone ran these?

I figure for $100 doesn't matter if they get me 20k miles.

I've been looking at those for when I go to 16" wheels. They are reasonably priced for the size I want.
