I have a new set of cut out flares for 88-98 trucks, thinking bout using em on my 2000 CCSB that's SAS'd. According to Bushwackers install directions, says you can run a 33" on a 8" wheel with no trimming the bumper, and no lift. A 35" tire on 10" trimming the bumper. What I'm looking for is how big a tire with a lift? If 35s will fit with no lift, than a 4" or 6" should fit a 38" then right?? Thinking of going 38.5s, and the fenders are crusty under the stock flares anyway.

Having sold a few Bushwacker flares this summer I can say they won’t have a clue to give you anything beyond what is in the instructions.

They don’t give any fit suggestions on non-stock trucks because there are way too many variables at play. How much lift, tire width, backspacing/offset will be major factors that Bushwacker or any other maker of flares is not going to be able to say for sure unless they have a truck to build and try out themselves. Nobody is going through R&D on older trucks so it’s on the end user to see what works.

Even between a 1/2 and 3/4-1 tons there is a difference. Was hoping someone would chime in "I ran ## size tires with #" lift with the flares. I ran skinny 38s on an old truck that was SAS'd, roughly 6" lift and trimmed fenders. So, with roughly same lift and cut outs, should clear the 38s...
