I think 33's are great D.D. tire size. My old 76 had 33's on 10's and 2" suspension and 1" body. Before it lifted it, the tires on 10's hit the fenders. My 88 came with 33's on the stock steel wheels. They didn't hit at all. My 89 had 33's on 10's with no suspension mods, but the did hit the fenders. A small amount of trimming on the inside corners and it was fine. You couldn't even notice it. That truck is now going to 35's, with 2" suspension and 1" body.
Here's my old 76. Sold to anothjer member now.
