You shouldn't have any rubbing problems with 4" and 33's.
I have, there's been a couple times the tire has managed to wad up the lower fender. That was with a sway bar and a relatively narrow rim too. It flexes well I guess.

It's going to come down to wheel width and back spacing. Don't skinny wheels usually make the tire taller?
I've decided against 35" tires after putting on my 4" lift. I don't want to re-gear...don't want big drop off in MPG, and the extra penalties when to be honest like most people I'll drive %90 of the time on the street. 33" is plenty fine off road, and hardcore off road would require alot of other mods anyways I don't feel I need to spend that $$ on. If one was building a dedicated rock crawler I can see going bigger, but again alot more to a build than just tires then.
Z-92 package from ALC (american luxury coach)

my 2013 came stock with 35's...Z-92 package from ALC (american luxury coach)
they kept the stock 3.42 gears...
now she aint no racer but I drive 62 miles each way (from south NJ to central NJ) and I have learned to find the sweet spots for 1/2 the cylinders to shutdown and this truck is getting what my stock z-71 was getting...
winter time she dont want to shift to OD much so getting 15mpg-17mpg but when it warms up like today... I get around 18-20mpg...
in 4h may be good for local trail riding but 4L still has plenty of gonads to spin the 35's... while I liked my 33's I will always run 35's even if that means cutting up the fenders to make them fit...![]()
That 2013 is alot different than my 87 k5...just sayin'
