TIRES.... whats best. (quick gears question)

I had 37"s and liked it, but always kind of wanted bigger. Just sucks that I'm gonna need all the things that come with it. Like gears, (I have 3.73's :doah: ), and wheels since mine are only 16"s.

I'll have a full set of slightly used terra grappler 35x12.5x16s on black steel simulated bead locks for sale soon, if anyone needs a set lol.
Even have a matching rim for the spare.

I'm probably just gonna flip them locally or trade for something. Realistically 40s are too big without what you mentioned above.
IF the 1 ton I just picked up has 4:56 gears, which it drove like it did, I guess it's getting a lift and some new Yokohamas. hahaha so much for keeping it simple.

Sweet. Thank you.

What are people running for bead locks, what do or don't you like about em?
I'm partial to steel, because I can try and fix bead dings and chit. But that's just a thought, and I'm not sure how easy it would be to even ding one bad enough to matter.

I was looking at those last night when I bought the tires lol.

They are what got me thinking about backspacing to clear 40's

Um... I've seen pics of your truck in action...... Easy is not a term I'd go with :haha:

I was thinking about the basic steel wheels and adding lock rings.
It'd be semi cheaper since I'll have a plasma table in a few months. It'd bive me a project to try on it. :dunno:
$320 is pretty easy and cheap though if they're good.

The nice thing about that type of bead ring is, it pinches the bead in a natural position instead of flattening it out. It also self centers that bead if you keep it lubed during installation.

They already charged me for em, and I double checked the order again. Says 5. Technically had that money sitting to the side for other things. But a deals a deal lol.

If I had something else to put em on, I would seriously think about it too lol.

The thing is, you can flip them for double that amount in a day or two. At least here you can. One of the local off-road shops here gets a set of nittos about every 4-6 months and they sell for 2800 bucks! For four

If I had enough spare cash, I’d try and order another 5 haha

You talked me in to it, just ordered another 5.:1zhelp:

The trailer I am building needs new tires and a spare. Ordered as "additional materials". Even if they sit 2 years until the 48 is done, no big deal. We know they will not get cheaper.

I have ran their AT tires on many trucks with good luck. These will be a bit noisy, so I will spend the saved money on a good sound system.
