I know, everyone and their brother has these, but so do I!! Lol. They were one of the first things I started making about 8 years ago, and they have been through some changes recently, but the basic principle is still the same. I realize that I could make them out of a single plate with only 4 holes, then bend it to shave some money out of them, but I really don't believe in the bent-plate design. I've seen many trucks come into my 4wd shop over the years, and any of them with that design end up wearing the pads crooked - mainly due to the fact that it is extremely difficult to hold perfect angles in a press brake when bending the metal. The stacked plate design like this ensures that the caliper mounting remains perfectly in line with the rotor! They include plenty of mounting holes so that you can "clock" them to whatever angle your particular setup requires. I even throw in some awesome grade 8 hardware with the kit!!
