Hey All!!!

I've now had a couple people ask about making a shackle flip that would net a near-zero lift gain. I figured this might be a useful product, especially if you already have lift springs in your rig and don't want to swap them out. This will gain you a decent amount of shackle travel hence it should add a reasonable amount of flex to your rig. I will be making a prototype and flexing it out on the shop K5 on our RTI ramp and comparing it to the stock setup for proof. Also, it features our adjustability that we put in our standard new generation shackle flip! Check out the CAD prototype:

.
Okay, I need everyone's help on this!!!

This particular design currently sits about 3/4" above the top of the frame rail. It looks like it should clear everything on my rig, but I need some people to measure their trucks to make sure it would clear a stock bed and any other years that might have some differences. It is 8" wide, symmetric about the mounting bolts (or factory rivets if you still have them). Some pics of the mounting area of various rigs might be helpful too. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help out!!!!

I'll take a look at mine.
The floor should not be an issue, it's the floor supports that go from side to side that might be an issue.

Possible differences of shackle hanger to floor support location:
A K5
A Shortbed C/K 10
A Longbed C/K 10/20
A Longbed C/K 30 (bed should be same as longbed C/K 10/20 but the rear spring hanger is in a different location).

I have a K20 longbed but mine is at the body shop. I will try to find another and take a pic.

Pic is from a friend's K30 Longbed.

Looks to be right in the way. His is up on washers about 1/4", but I think they were bolted directly from factory (can anyone confirm this)?

My truck (K20 longbed is still in the body shop so can't take a pic....that's what took me so long). I'll be able to get a pic of that next week, but thinking it will be similar....

I'd be willing to notch my floor brace though for zero lift.....

Anyone with a body lift will be fine too.

Yep, that's what I was afraid of. Seems like that is what most of them are like. Damn. Well, back to the computer and re-design so that it doesn't hang above the frame at all. Looks like I might need to shorten the shackle up a little bit too. Maybe. Hopefully not, but we'll see.

Can anyone confirm the frame height on the trucks for me? I'd really appreciate it :) Maybe even on a 'burban too?

Thanks!!

Another question?
Will a stock length shackle work with your bracket? I have F550 springs (3" wide) in my rig and had a custom shackle made to mate the springs to the stock mount (they flare out more). The springs don't flex much (I use my rig for truck pulling so flex is the enemy......much different than what most here want), so the shackle doesn't move a lot (would stay fairly verticle).

Yes, the re-design that I should be able to prototype tomorrow actually should yield near zero lift with the factory shackles in there. In order to use my 4.5" shackles, there isn't enough clearance to get actual zero lift. It'd be close though. I'm still waiting for my bushing sets to come in, so we'll see how much time I have tomorrow and I might install the prototypes after I get them made with the factory shackles in there. Then again, I might just start pulling the motor tomorrow instead. Haven't made up my mind fully yet.

On another note, I went to a shop today (for my other job) and they had three trucks there and a blazer. Go figure! So I had a look at all of them, and got the measurements I needed. Sweet!!!!

I got a prototype installed yesterday!! I only had a chance to get one side done so I haven't set it down on the ground yet to check ride height out, but here it is so far ;)

Much want! I want to do one but with maybe a 1 or 2 inch longer shackle for just a tiny bit of lift, little more flex, and maybe a better ride. But I like that you have options!

Okay, I was able to set the K5 down and measure the ride-height difference with this shackle flip vs the factory setup. It currently sits about 3/8" higher measured at the wheelwell, but it has no hitch, bumper, or gas tank in it currently. Measuring where the spring - to - shackle bolt is in comparison to the factory setup is almost identical, so I am confident in releasing this product now. I have a couple cut out right now, and should have at least one welded up and ready to go before I leave tonight!

PRICING:

Shackle flip itself is released at a starting price of $165, including all hardware!

Shackles NOT included, can re-use factory shackle or I can make you some at any length you would like, just as soon as I get my bushing order in (hopefully soon!)

What's shipping on these to 04042? How much for a set of shackles that match the factory length? I have 6 inch rough country springs with brand new ord bushings. So I do not want to add any more length. I just cut off the old hangers today. Going back down to shorten up the frame next.
