I was wondering what kind of special tools i should try to get that are needed for these trucks. More specifically the 87-91 tbi suburbans. Stuff like axle sockets or large sockets and wrenches for suspension or stuff for the engine.

Like was already said, axle nut socket(s), spanner socket for ball joint preload, timing light, a GOOD DVOM, vacuum gauge, fuel pressure test kit, 18mm wrench for P/S hoses at steering box, flare nut wrenches (both SAE and metric).
I got the dvom and vacuum hand pump tool already till work on the rest of the stuff when I get my tool bill down haha. Never heard of adjusting ball joint preload though.
What does it do is it for like camber adjustment or am I way off?
