Has anybody had anything stolen from thier blazer or even had thier blazer stolen when they removed thier top? any kind of vandalizing or anything?

not from my k5 but when I had an old heep cj it got pilfered a few times. Nothing major just a few cd's a couple of times and some tools once... and then a weird one, some asshat stole my inspection sticker off the windshield

At my school i had a guy that would constantly go through my blazer trying to find stuff. he stole a tow rope, my cb, and a few tools. Now i dont carry anything, have a lock on my Ammo box center console also.

Not quite what you asked, but I won't park my truck without having a column guard on it, doubly so if the top is off and all you have to do is climb in to steal the whole thing.

Having the top off just means you don't have to break glass to steal it. :)

well i havent had my top off but i usually leave mine unlocked w da windows down at work (publix) only thing thats happpend 2 me was this faggety ass kid stole gum?!

I drove to Chicago once for my brothers wedding a few years back . While I quickly parked out front of a place to get some refreshments for the wedding eve, somebody stole my suit, which was in a garment bag hanging from the soft-top bow. The big bag with all my cloths and lots of other stuff was right in the back there. It was parked in my sisters garage the rest of the weekend.
I hate cities.

I've had so much crap ripped off in the past (not my Blazer) that when I installed the soft top this year I broke the bank and purchased the Tuffy center console and speaker boxes. I also picked up a diamond plate tool box for behind the rear seat. I hated like hell spending the money on the console but really it is a nice unit, and it offers me a lot of comfort. Next will be a battery shut off.

I've had a few quarts of oil stolen here and there, and since my gas gauge doesn't work I carry a 5 gallon gas can with me. And someone stole it in the walmart parking lot ( $15 worth of gas). And the way gas prices are I"m pretty mad about it, plus I had to buy a new gas can. I"ll post up pics of my lockbox I made tonite after work.

My solution for topless days.

Which column guard? All my stuff is water proof and all of my stuff is lockable. I just need to fab a cable and lock for my spare tire which is stored flat in the back with some eyes.

Sorry for the hijack! What kind of seats are those in your rig. Front and rear, if you don't mind, or are they factory?
Once again sorry for the hijack.
Thanks

I don't know..............

Front ones I bought from Paul Moon of Ca., he ain't posted in about 6 months, back seats were installed by PO.

here's what I made. Still have to put the handles and hasp on it, so I won't drive it in town until it's done. The first one's are before and after pics. I'm not sure how safe it is to put a gas can in a locked metal box. It's not completely air tight.

Thanks, this is the hardware I plan on putting on it. It's 48 X 24 X 21 inches, and it's my first welding project with my arc welder. I'm pretty happy with it so far. I need to make time to stay after work one night and rivet my hardware on. ALL my stuff fits in it too. which is nice. It weighs about 250 lbs.... which is not so nice.

At the very least, put some kind of vent hole in the box. Better still to put a little solar-powered fan to move the air through. Maybe run a hose from the gas can vent to a hole outside of the box.
