Torque Converters... I'm lost!

I think the 400 is a great idea for the kind of use/abuse this truck will endure. I would still stay with around 3800 stall, the good news is that is a much less expensive converter than a 700R4 uses.

Good to know! About how long does a converter build take, what kind of time frame do you need? And if you don't mind what's a round-a-bout estimate on pricing for a 400 and 350(just in case something else comes up with the trans deal) converter for my application to go through you? Feel free to PM me.

Thanks again for everyone's help! Hopefully in the next few weeks I can have this thing up and running again to see what that motor can really do! :woot:

I wasn't trying to convert this into a sale, just trying to give some helpful information to help you make an informed decision. I will PM you some info that you can use to compare with some other sources you have contacted.

No I understood. I was just asking in general what kind of time frame was needed and what an estimate on price was to compare with the other shops I've talked to. Thanks again for your help!
