When i was redoing my 79 jimmy long before my days of ck5 i had a 77 blazer for parts I was bored one sunday as it was my only day off and I parked the blazer in the corner of the driveway. With only a hand racket and and a standard set of sockets I had the rig down to a stack of goodies and a bucket of bolts in under 4 hours.

what kinda time frame have you guys done a rig?

I'm tearing apart the 73 tomorrow and my roommate thinks it's gonna set there forever, I told him it'll be gone by the following morning, LOL:bow:

i think its all about money, if i had all the money i needed, id be in my garage 24/7, but most of us here arent well off like that....so, my solution is a no brainer, win the lottery and u'll be fine:rolleyes:

1 day with a buddy helping me to remove everything that could be removed and completely tore down using wrenches, ratches, sockets, etc. It then took about a week (on/off after work) to drill, grind, cut, punch, etc. every rivet out of the frame rails.

I could have probably assembled everything in a good week or so, but it took me about a year due to $$ and parts availability (Fastenal loved me). I'm hoping to try it again next year with my buddy's 82.

for me id say a week was my fastest, but that was when i was 13 and all alone, ive done one with friends tearing down my buddies truck that he flipped, took about a day, with 4-5 helping us and a forklift,

now how far are u tearing it down? takin cab off?axles out? interior?

front and rear, steering box, bumpers, front clip and motor tranny. spent 2 hours last night and got everything out but the steering box and bumpers.
