Just curious on the Tow Rigs that hauled those Blazers to Blazer Bash. Lets see some pics and how they did on the road.

This is my 600 buck 99 Suburban I bought from my Dads CW station in Tucson ( he was director of Engineering until they sold out the station this summer ) . Which was used for going to the transmitter sight . It got a new shortblock nearly 20,000 miles ago by now .

I got it cheap when the "NEW" 4l60 lost its front pump due to a cracked flexplate . I replaced the flexplate , stuck in a new 4l60e ( 400 bucks from a local ) . Saved the old 4l60e as a spare when I get around to fixing the front pump .

Total into it with the radiator I replaced on BB08 : 1500 bucks :pimp:

55 mph average , mileage varied depending on which section I was on , from 7.5 to 10.4 with the truggy on the trailer .

Next year I will have my own trailer , a weight distributing hitch , a 14bsf and 2500 springs ( gonna hack up my 3/4 ton pickup which didn't sell ) .

Pauly i can relate i have my 98 Suburban although it cost me a bit more i was thinking of replacing it with something bigger because i wanted something to Tow my Blazer, but now i see it can be done so i think i will hold onto it for awhile.

Really though is this all the Members (Besides KGBLAZERFIVE which is kinda cool by the way) that towed their Blazer to BB8? Come on Guy's Lets see Them. I know there are some more AZ Crew Members that towed.;)

Most of the guys I know that went are driving some form of built 99 to new diesel crew cabs. Any of the brands.

With where we tow in Colorado I woulnd't go back to towing with a gas engine truck. The passes and mountains are just to much for my mental well being in a gas engine tow rig.

What does the crew from OffRoad Design pull their rigs with?

They have an enclosed semi truck's 53' for each one. :eek1::eek1:

No only kidding they had pickups with in the bad campers towing flatbeds with the trucks on them.

I will probably tow mine next year, the one ton will tow as fast as I could go anyway so won't be much of a change.

I just think it would be cool to see everybodies journey to the big bash. Ya know the Caravans of Blazers being towed or driven to the event as well as Pics of the event ,which are coming along nicely. All the Pics i have seen so far have been amazing.

I towed mine with a 99 tahoe, maybe by next year I will have a real towrig. The tahoe did better then I expected though, 60-65 the whole way and about 10mpg. Some of those hills were a little slow, getting passed by tripple trailer semi's going up hill is kinda depressing

my tow rig is capable of 80 when loaded but anyone with a brain wont pull that fast as trailer tires are not speed rated oh sorry i tow with a 6.0 gas and the truck with out a load is 6500 pounds but i also drive a western star winch truck for a living
