what is better to tow the k5 home from bout 25 miles away, mostly highway. A tow bar or tow dolley that is adval 2 rent from uhaul? the clutch doesnt work so wont be able 2 drive it up on the dolly. but we could just reverse the dolley up on the k5. and what would be the best straps to tie it down? and if tow bar would be better were shall i hook it up 2 in the front on the frame?

if its only 25 miles like you said just use a tow bar and go slow ive done it i even towed my truck home with a tow strap once desperate times call for desparate measures

A Harbor Freight towbar will work just fine ($50).

Undo one of the bumper bolts on each side where the bumper attaches directly to the frame. One of the towbar bracket bolts will fit that factory hole. Drill another hole for the other bolt (there are two holes in each bracket). Use washers or the provided backing plates behind the drilled holes (none needed behind the other two with the frame).

x2 as stated above...ive got one on my 1ton axled k5 and have pulled it all over...farthest so far has been around 60 miles...bought mine @ uhaul tho ($160 OUCH!!!) wish I'd have know about HF one BEFORE i bought mine...same as the uhaul 1 for $110 less...
