Trail Clean Up Truck Project w/pics

Thanks man. I plan on using the 700R4. From what I have read it can be built to work just fine.

Proper set up seems key as you mentioned.

I also plan on changing these axle gears to the appropriate ones. From what I can tell many people that have cooked the 700R4 did it with big tires and improper final drive ratios.

X eleventy billion

Choose your parts wisely for the 700 and it should work fine. There is no such thing as too deep a gear with that much truck.

I would like to say again how great a project this is you are undertaking.

Yesterdays progress

Scott (Gunter) doing his deed to the cab floor. Thanks Scott!!!!

So the old truck left the building last week. Making more room to work on the new one. Did I forget any parts off of it?

Scott keeps coming over and cutting chunks out of my truck. Hopfully soon he will start putting some metal back in it. We also did some cleaning of the frame and front clip prepping it to go back together. (the rest of my crew bailed on my this weekend, and then they wonder why it won't be ready for Moab EJS?

Doesn't look too bad from this angle and lighting. Check out that new tailgate, Superlift Rockring and I'm sure a few other things.

Lookin good so far. You shoulda kept the windsheild out of your other cab though. Bodyshops will buy them sometimes to keep on hand. Help offset the cost of your build.

Other one was cracked too. Plus the guy I bought the truck from does auto glass and said he would make me a deal on new glass when I am ready.

Big thanks to "5280K5" he brought over a XJ steering shaft and gave it to me so that we can get the project on the road. Thanks.

Anytime man, just glad to help out. Now onto fixing that loose steering column:D

We just got HUGE support for the project from http://painlesswiring.com/.
I'm VERY excited about this. This will make a huge step toward reliability and functionality.
Sorry for the quick camera phone pic. I will take more as we get this stuff installed.
-Complete 18 circuit replacement harness.
-700R4 tranmission harness
-6 pack relay bank
-6 switch panel. (KC set us up with 3 sets of lights so this will be good for this)

i'm so lookin forward to the rest of the build. it truly is awesome what you're doing for the environment. i did alittle bit with a 3-wheelr last weekend. sure the back of your truck's gonna see alot more though. lol

Guess it is about time for a quick update. Our plans were to have this thing together WEEKS ago. But for some reason we have slowed down.
I need to wire it, paint it and assemble it. Scott still needs to finish up the body work. (I have been welding and grinding on the body.........You should NEVER let me near your truck with a welder:D )

Here are some updated pictures. New floors, new drivers rocker, bedside patch (..cause a full replacement bedside was WAY over priced) RAAMat sound deadening.
