Trail request for BB13

how are the trails as far as body damage go? i wheel my blazer occasionally but really don't want to tear it up. as you can tell it is a big pig.

i could bring the x chassis or ftoy but since this is blazer bash i figured it would be better to bring the blazer.
last time i went was 10 years ago and it was a rescue mission. i have never went to wheel. i do plan on going in may with the club here but we are trying to stick to jeeps so i will take my tj then.

Seeing that the average attendee to Blazer bash is driving a full bodied blazer you will be fine. Most of the runs have little to no risk of body damage. There are trails that are guaranteed to provide body damage but those aren't typically part of the normal BB routine.

I can only think of one time someone got body damage on one of my trail runs. That was because they were in a mostly stock rig that didn't quite have clearance for a ledge they were dropping down. The hit the lower rear quarter. Felt bad because they had a really nice looking truck. He was there because he thought Blazer Bash was basically a show 'n shine. He came back a year or 2 later with a full-on trail rig. :D

I vaguely remember a guy flattening out the front of his truck on Hells revenge. But that was an extreme case of no spotter.

Yeah, I suppose we should put a disclaimer on there,

"except for instances of driver error resulting in flops or roll-overs..."

here's the specs on her: 350/700/241(SYE), 60/14 5.38, detroits with 35 spline outers and hubs, hydro assist crossover, full exocage, warn 9000, front: Tough Country HD EZ rides, Zero rate, ORD shackles, rear: 4" 56" Burb springs, Zero rate, ORD hangers and DIY4X shackles
DIY4X Razorback covers on both, ORD greaseable bushings on both, ORD crossmember with DIY4X mounts, ORD steering brace, 39.5" Pitbull rockers on steel rims although i might change out the pitbulls for some 38 sx's on beadlocks for blazer bash. here is a pic where i slid down an embankment out wheeling. landed on the exo :D

Honestly with the exception of Pritchett canyon and Area BFE I have driven most of the trails in either a 84 s15 extended cab with 30" tires OR a 95 Ford F250 Extended cab long bed with a 4" lift 35" tires and a limited slip in the rear.

I did take a small gouge in the firberglass rocker steps that I had on the F250 on one ledge of Goldbar rim every time I took it there. In fact I think the last time I went in with the truck I put the spare tire down when I dropped down it so that it didn't mess up the steps again, then going back up it woud try to get into the bottom of the bed side.

Point being, your fine on 90% of the trails in Moab. It's easy to stay away from the other 10% and barring an accident you should expect to not hurt your vehicle in Moab.

I was told that the first body damage is the spotters fault. Second is drivers fault for going again.

Clarification it is an optional line on Golden Spike. Right above double whammy

Yea the first time I did not know it was an option, the second time it was really dark out, and it was late, and both times I had no spotter.........

So when I go again I wont be able to whine about it.
