Trail request for BB13

Hmmm, interesting. Giving me an idea for an extended Crack n Back run concept.

It would have lived up to the "difficult" rating running it the opposite way we did. It goes between Bull Run and GBR. There were a couple ledges we came down off of that the stock runner would have had a lot of difficulty making, even with a tow strap attached.

True but if everyone turned south and went to Ridgway towards Nucla to Uravan it would at least eleminate some Back tracking. Would be a slower trip but scenic

There are also routes from Delta and Montrose that cut across the uncompahgre plateau however it is gravel all the way. The Delta Nucla Road and you can hook up with it out of Montrose also. Doesn't really save much time just a different way to get there.

I was reading traildamage.com and it says to run it from gold bar to Bull Canyon for increase difficulty

That would be the hard way for sure. I was worried when we came down a few of the ledges, hoping we wouldn't have to go up anything similar :D.

The plan when we hit the trail was to turn around if we got to anything that would be too difficult for the stocker, unfortunately once we went down the first big ledge we were kinda locked in for the rest of the trail.

Sounds like it would be fun to hit after a Crack n Back for anyone up for more trail time and some extra challenges. I'm getting excited about this idea. I'm glad you mentioned it.

Another powder puff run, the wife had a blast driving. I liked hitting grand Junction on Thursday too. Montrose would be cool. But I think that's a whole nother trip in itself.

21Rd in Junction would be a good Thursday choice, especially for the guys that ran Billings. The guys that ran Bangs with me could at least run half of 21Rd. A lot of the harder stuff in the first part can be bypassed. I remember there being an easy side road we could turn back on once it gets too hard for some of the guys. The hardest part is the very end.

I wasn't sure if we'd run the Powder Puff every year or every other year. Maybe we could do it next year since Wade's wife missed this year and it was her idea in the first place.

My plan is to have the whole BB'13 be a powder puff run for my wife, it is her 4runner afterall...

Hopefully she won't chicken out and do the trails

Fins n things as newb (Great trail with killer views and many obstacles to choose from)
Trifecta
Hells
Moab rim
Prit

On the 6th guys were like, "So! What ya wanna do?"? "I don't know... What ya wanna do"? "Hay now don't start that again"!

^My way of saying, splitting up the Colorado and Utah trails kinda brings questions to those that left to Moab on the 6th.

Traditionally Blazer Bash has started on Friday. We added Thursday last year as a special thing for the 10th Anniversary. This year ORD wanted to host a trail run in their home state so we thought Thursday was a good choice to not interfere with the regular Blazer Bash proceedings.

And it worked out great. Those that wanted to be there, where there. Those that wanted to be in moab early where there.
2insane- I mean this in the nicest way possible, you might want to actually go to one and see how it works before you suggest changing it up and trail details.

I'll be an all around newb to both the event and Moab. I only have one preference.

Powder Puff run. If we make it all the way there. I know Jess and her sister will enjoy a ladies drive only run.

I'd be in for 21 rd this year. I was on Billings last year and had a good time.

That's all we'll be doing too, so it shouldn't be a problem.

How many more sleeps till BB13.....??

really wanna do elephant hill, just not sure a full sized rig can get through the squeeze play in one piece

The Wife did Elephant hill in the Power Wagon with no clutch.....didn't have a choice.:eek1:
Earned some serious respect from the others in the group.
She was scared crapless the entire time but did a great job!!

We'd be up for that again----with a functional clutch though.:waytogo:

Not really into "blatant disregard for body damage" but the odd dent or war wound is part of the challenge!

Other than that, we are happy to just be out on whatever you guys decide!!

It will be GREAT to just be wheelin with a bunch of CK5'ers!!!!!!

how are the trails as far as body damage go? i wheel my blazer occasionally but really don't want to tear it up. as you can tell it is a big pig.

i could bring the x chassis or ftoy but since this is blazer bash i figured it would be better to bring the blazer.
last time i went was 10 years ago and it was a rescue mission. i have never went to wheel. i do plan on going in may with the club here but we are trying to stick to jeeps so i will take my tj then.
