Hello I have a 71 Jimmy and I have been going through the truck. Well I am almost done for the night when I notice tranny fluid coming out of the back side of the t case. Had not been driven at all. It was during a week when it got down in the 20's and 30's. Would this have anything to do with it leaking out of no where?

Thats not that cold. I guess the case could have cracked but it's not likely to be just from the cold. Where exactly was it leaking from?

There is a seal between the tranny and transfer-case. When this goes the tranny fills up the transfer-case. The transfer-case should have regular gear oil in it - not ATF.
