So my Blazer started making this weird knock/tick noise at idle, and a little through the rpm range. Found out it was my flexplate when i pulled the tranny cover. It is cracked and fractured in about 3 places. So im gonna drop it out and fix it. Got a few questions.
Do i drop tranny and transfer case together? or pull trans case off then tranny?
The front of my tranny leaks down onto the torque converter so im gonna pick up a Torque Converter Seal. Should i get the Front Pump Seal too?
Any way to tell what flexplate i have so i can grab a new one before i pull it out? its a th350.
Any tricks to making this quick and painless lol?
And my d44 leaks from the pinion seal... alot! Changed fluid in it and now its even worse lol.
Is this the part i need for it?
Axle Shaft Seal: Front Axle; Spicer 44-5f 8.5" Ring Gear; 1 Per Vehicle Quantity
And can i just pull the u joint off and then the nut and slide that off and change seal from there?
