Yikes :yikes: 52 bucks a piece!! I paid 19 bucks for one thinking I'd need it. It does make the job easier but it's not required. The tools you need are the ones to re-size the 4 sealing rings on the input drum and the 2 on the stator shaft, spring compressor for the reverse drum and the low/reverse piston in the back of the case, assorted bushing drivers, snap ring pliers, dial indicator and stand, the rest of the tools you need you can get by with a little creativity. Be careful when installing the lip seals. They go on a certain way and can be easily damaged. If you don't already have these I highly recommend the following.

A can or two of Kooler Kleen.
A tub of Transgel.
Torlon check balls. The steel ones can beat the separator plate to death and get stuck especially with a shift kit.

WOW.... Sounds like you have done this before. I think you just scared me a little.

Thanks for the info.

Don't be scared, it's only parts. But yeah I've done it a time or two. Plus research helps.

Well my parts should be here in a day or 2. I'm sure that I will have a question or 2. One of my friends will be helping me that has done a couple of th350/400 before so I hope we can figure it out.

Ask away if you need any help, it's not rocket science...

We got it back in a couple of days after I got the parts. So far it has been great just driving around and pulling the trailer, everything seems fine. We didn't use the shift kit in it or the corvette servo though so basically we just did a stock rebuild. I wasn't to sure on how my wife would like driving it with a shift kit in it. Next time on a vehicle like this (yukon denali) I will just order the parts I need instead of a monster kit for her daily driver.
