Okay this may be a dumbe question but how the hell do I swap my tranny and tcase out without a vehicle lift.

I'm running 6" and 35's and theres no way my jack will go hight enough and it's a big jack not one of those chease small ones,

Any ideas?

what kind of tranny and t-case? do you have a removable floor pan?

if its an aluminum transfer case you can probably bench it out, if you have a removable floor pan use an engine hoist.

Also, it would be more work, but take off the tires, block the axles as low as possible...........

Use an engine hoist. You will have to take carpet and a seat out for sure but then theres the hump that bolts in slide the engine hoist in and rap a chain around trani and tcase and lower her down i would do the pass side because theres not streering wheel or any thing to mess with good luck

When I put in my 465/205 I put the cherry picker through the passenger window, didn't even remove the seat and wrapped the chain around the front of the adapter and it balanced perfectly.

Remove air from tires or remove tires completely. Get a friend or two, buy em a beer and pull it out the way that grows hair on your chest.

Rent a trany jack? I have a 12''x12''x1.5' wood block that I notched to fit the flat of the adapter and the bottom of the trany. Redneck, I know but I have used it 6 times and it takes most of the work out of lifting the trany/t-case in. One guy on each side holding it steady and one guy running the jack, works slick.

got pics?

No pics, might snap one tonight. Real simple, v-notch 4'' deep on trany side, then flat on other side. the bottom of the trany rests in the V and the flat of the adapter where it bolts to the x-member sets on the flat. put it on top of your floor jack and you are set.
