tranny wont shift into gear

/forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.giftried to move k5 today and the tranny wont go into any gear.like nuthin has fluid drove and parked it last time had it runnin now wont move,was startin to slip in 3rd but still moved fine in 2nd, tcase not in neutral and have a drive shaft but no movement linkage moves but nuthin?? /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

i think it may be the pump cuz when i check the fluid it doesnt move vrom when its runnin and not runnin. if i drop the pan is there a way to check if pump is good or could it be loose. would this cause it to slip while driving???
