There are some out there that are made of a decent gauge of steel, yours might be one of them!
you're the man.No RTV, shouldn't need anything beyond a spray of gasket cement to keep the gasket in place if surfaces are flat

yeah thats how I do it too. Just kidding with ya. Thanks a ton for your help on this topic.I run them down till they are "snug" ( depending on gasket, operate vehicle for a day or two then revisit to be sure they are still snug). We use quarter inch tools when doing this. One torque setting does not work for all pans and gasket materials.
