Ok...I'll put my hiatus on absence for this... Power coupler? Wtf? My 205 has no such thing...are we even talkin about the same sh!t or what? :eek1::haha:

Marty started the whole thread for PREFERENCE. I see no need to call anyone or anything ignorant.

10 spline and 27 spline 205 coupler sleeve.

I will say IF I was choosing a 205 to run it would be a 32 spline behind the 86+ 465 or TH400 without a doubt.

Many also need a SYE just like the 241 as they come with aluminum slip yokes.

Need more insults and less math???

Martin

All right dick face...I was waiting for this. Go **** yourself if your gonna act like child with the insults. I have tried to ignore the ridiculous, childish bull****, thinly veiled and baiting insults you have directed my way from the very beginning of this post, you ignorant jack-ass. I have given you and this post facts over and over again, things that are not my opinions, or things I have read somewhere....and you have nothing to say but, unsubstantiated subjective opinions based on...nothing. You're opinion is un-informed and cannot be objectified...so why should I, or anyone else take you seriously? What have you contributed? Not a thing, but adolescent immaturity and emotion. Color me dissapointed.

For reference...this is me trying to maliciously offend you.

To be clear...I know what they are. I hadn't even considered comparing them for sake of as close as apples to apples comparison as possible.

I guess I should stay away from the common folk here in this thread. Ignorance is infectious.

Now...for those that don't know...THAT was an intentional insult.

I did.

Did you not read the title? It's all about preference(someones opinion), almost all of us have said the 205 is strong, but we prefer the 208/241.

Just because a few opinions seem to match up, does not mean it's a "circle jerk" or that anyone is "ignorant".

I believe you. You have had an antagonistic attitude throughout this thread. Like you wanted to pick a fight. But...why? Why were you waiting for a confrontation? What do you hope to gain from childish insult contests? :dunno:

Opinions differ, people prefer different things. Sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for crummy reasons. But this is a completely useless development, adding nothing to the otherwise healthy disagreement that has been occurring.

Might want to start here with such said "fight" in progress to see where it starts at: http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3565906#post3565906

I'm beginning to wonder if Marty should have clarified this voting thread as "which t-case for this type of driving....." as I can see a lot of answers here are generating from guys who are using 208's or 241's under their current rigs or daily drivers. I'd bet if they had the time and money they would quickly upgrade to the 205 and call it done.

Now if Marty's voting title were something along the lines of "which t-case do you prefer for hardcore off roading" or "which t-case do you prefer for using as a highway queen", etc.

And yes, I know what the word preference means. He just needs to clarify it a little better. Off road use or highway use. Which one?

I'm not gonna lie, reading through this whole thread was freaking hilarious :haha:. Some people have a serious hard-on for 205's in here :D.

I like 241's and 205's. Have had both, family members have both, been around both of them for a while. There is a reason Magnum box's or NWF's black box's use the planetary gear out of a 241....they are strong. Do 241's have downsides? Of course...all of which have been discussed. 205's can be looked at the exact same way...incredibally strong, but they have downsides too (lack of gearing....just in case someone reading through this thread hasn't realized this yet :D). I like my NP241. I did a SYE on it and have no worries about it (especially after I built a skid for it). Even with 44's I have no worries about it. I would really like a 205, but the only way I would have one is with a reduction box/gear in front of it. Being someone who mainly rock crawls, I too care more about the gearing then the overall brute strength (gearing is what reduces stress on parts in the rocks). So if we are only looking at having single cases, which the OP states on the first page, I give the nod to the 241.

Now let's hear some people in this thread call me a dick face....come on....lets hear it :haha:
