Transfer case to drive shaft leak help

I'd like to point out that the yoke is wet at the end inside by the u-joint. See the fluid drip coming off the u-joint yet the tail housing of the t-case is dry? Fluid is leaking down the splines and getting into the cavity end of the yoke then being pushed out the vent hole or cap in the end. Get a new yoke along with a new tailshaft seal. Problem solved.

I took it in and had the yoke looked at and was told it was fine.. Have replaced seal and leak has not stopped.. Granted it is much smaller but it is a leak just the same. Any one have a new Idea?

I have seen on here that there is a small hole on the end of the slip yoke. If you weld or JB weld the small hole it will fix the leak. I guess the splined washer starts to leak over time and fluid seaps out of that hole.

I am going to try doing that this weekend.

I know it looks fine but trust me, it's the yoke.

I ran a bead of weld around the end cap on mine, but it was a temp fix because I knew I'd be lifting the truck and needing a new shaft anyway. It stopped the leak but as we all know fluid doesn't compress. So, if fluid continues to get past the splines and into the end it could cause damage in the long term. The proper fix is to replace the yoke.
