How can I tell what transfer case I have???

85, 350, 700r4 /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

If it's original is should be a NP208. See if the body is aluminum or cast iron, if it's iron something else has been swapped in. Also, the case body should have a round tag on the back with the model number (assuming it's a 208).

I went and looked. There is a round red and white tag that says 208, so I guess that is what it is.

Is there anything that I need to be concerned about with this t-case??

Its aluminum. Not trying to scare you, but I've blown 3 apart. Other then that they have a great low gear IIRC 2.7:1 and are lite weight.

Yikes!!!! Anything else that I need to worry about?? Should I keep my eyes open for something else???

I wouldn't worry too much about it. As long as you don't try to run 49" irocks you'll probably be OK. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
