The K5 that I am considering has a toasted 700r4. Should I rebuild/buy better 700r4, or swap in a 4L80E? What electronics are involved with these trannys? Are they compatible? What about the 208 transfer case? I see that they have a nice low range. Are they strong? Chain or gear driven? I would like to keep the OD type tranny, as the K5 will double as a DD. Thanks
