Transmission Fluid on rear hatch

Welcome to the "fun" old vehicles. But you've come to the right place to get squared away.

Highly recommend donating so you can post pictures. It makes it so much easier to diagnose everything. Sometimes pertinent details get lost in text posts.

Ok I'll decibel look into that

I am confused, the trans was empty, but you were able to drive it ? does your drive shaft slide in to the transfer case? Iirc the 93 t case uses ATF. Your t case cloud be the source of the tail spotting. If your drive shaft is having an out of balance problem, ie failed u joint, the rear t case tail shaft seal will seep/leak atf.
The vibration you have might be drive shaft related.

I didn't know it was empty till I got it home. Yes my driveshaft slides into the tcase. Ujoints are good. Drive shaft is good. After I filled the trans back up I drive it and no vibration

The seal between the 2, trans and t case can be pristine and still have trans fluid from the end up in the t case. If the vent on the transmission is plug, heat pressure will force the transmission fluid past the seal into the t case.
I have seen many times, and seen my fellow techs replace good seals. Only to later find the vent hose pinched shut at a clip.
Same for pinion seals, if your pinion seal is leaking, esp after a nice long high speed run, check the vent.

Everything so far have been great suggestions of where to look. If you still cannot figure out the source of the leak, degrease the bottom of the truck very well (this sounds it will have to happen regardless), then add a few quarts and go for a short drive. You will then quickly find the source of the leak.,,,just hopefully a few quarts will get the level back up.
