transmission garbage.......

I am. It's been over a month, and almost $500 extra that I didn't budget for. I won't even be able to afford to put gas in it when I get it back.

I'm just glad that it's finally fixed. Let's hope it stays that way.

Thanks for you help man. I really appreciate it.

i will fart in a jar put a twenty in it and send it to you...........

Well, the tranny's burned up again. Gotta call this joker again. I'm fed up with this ****. At this point, I'm about ready to unload this thing on CL and get a car.

only a 6 mounth warranty, has it been that long

or is it a year since he pulled it

i would not let him touch my rig again after the bs of the last time. took me 4 hours to clean the carpet in your rig when i picked it up

I have two options. Either get rid of the rig and get a car, or get a transmission from some place like Bowtie Overdrive or Monster Transmission. A third option is to go some place like Aamco, because the transmission can be warrantied pretty much anywhere. But, if it's done right the first time, who cares? Which is why if I keep the rig, I'll just get a transmission from Bowtie or Monster.

Unless any of you have other ideas?

The problem is, at this point, I'm flat broke. I'm waiting on a decision from SSDI, and was just denied for SSI. I'm talking to a lawyer tomorrow about the SSI, but if that got denied, I'm sure the SSDI will as well. So, as far as the immediate future is concerned, I won't have a driveable rig for at least the better part of a year. I spent the last of my money getting this thing re-rebuilt under warranty last time. It just really pisses me off.

I lost a u-joint at 75mph and broke my 700R4 case in half 4 hrs from home. I went to Aamco for the same reason - warranty back home. The good news is that was almost 10 yrs ago and it's still going strong. The bad news is, it cost me just over $2000...almost a decade ago. Had it happened at home, I'd have scraped one up from a junkyard or something. But if I had to spend the 2K again, I'd go aftermarket. I felt like it was too much to spend for a stock replacement.

P.S. Sorry for your luck.

This is what has me leaning toward Bowtie Overdrive and Monster. I'm really leaning more toward Bowtie than anything. For $1500, it seems like a damn good deal. Especially if it lasts.

P.S. Sorry for your luck.

Thanks man.
