I have a 91 suburban with a 480le trans and busted one of my steel trans cooler lines. Was wondering if I can use the lines from any other trans like a th400 or a 700r or if it has to be off a 480. I put a rubber piece of hose but im leaking lots of oil. Thanks

I would say go to the auto part store and buy some tubing and bend new lines. However, I think the later model stuff have the O-ring flares which require an fancy and expensive tool to make.
Have you look up LMC, In-line Tube, etc for pre-made line?

I'd use the original ends if they are intact, and splice on some 5/16" steel brake tubuing with compression fittings--or use the proper tranny cooler rubber hose and clamps, nothing wrong with that stuff, its rated for tranny fluid and hot oils..

I bought a set from LMC. The catalog states that they are for the TH400 and they took a minor bit of re-bending, but worked good all-in-all. I included them along with a good size order, so shipping was not an issue, but if you by them alone they will hit you up for the $20 oversize shipping fee.

Thanks guys went to pick part and took some off a newer pick up with a minor bending im sure ill be fine. Thanks
