transmission problem

I let my blazer set for about a week, this evening when I cranked it up tranny fluid came out of the fill tube while at high idle . This has happened twice, Dip stick says it is not over full.The only thing that i have changed is front seal(when i swapped in my 383).

It dosent do it when I run it on a regular basis. after it does this I can kill it and restart and everything is fine What would be causing this? filter or????

btw it is stock 84 700r4 tranny

possibly the vent is plugged.

Are you measuring the fluid level when the tranny is warmed up? Have you checked the vent line? It's also a good idea to run the locking-top dipstick.
