alright as it sits the rear has a homemade shackle flip and 3 1/2" blocks.

i *tried* to use my 6" lift springs and put those on...No go, they were too short. i measure they are a 49" spring as compared to the stock 52 that are on there right now.

to fix this...should i use the 6" springs and just move the rear mount forward some? like 2 inches? If so does anybody have any personayl experience as to how this would make the truck differ on the street?

OR us stock k20 springs (54? maybe) which i also have and get a set of ORD extended shackles.

for the front it has a 3 1/2" lift springs and a 6" shackle, should i put on the 6" lift springs and call it done (eliminate shackle if it sits level) OR use the 6" rear 52s and move my spring mount to infront of my body mount. (like skyk5 did)

the later would result in a bigger lift correct? like a 2" difference?

if it matters im trying to do as much of this at home...to keep budget low...:( (being 17 sucks!:haha: incomewise atleast)

your rear springs should measure over 50"s, 52" being ideal. one of the issues you are having is a result of your homemade shackle flip. it gives you a terrible shackle angle. its too far back on the frame.

If you were to take your 6" lift rear springs and use them in the front you would end up with 10" of lift.

if the rear springs are truly 49" then I would move the forward hanger for the rear springs back. this will correct your pinion angle, add driveline length, and allow everything to bolt up.

I have said it before and will say it again, your shackle flip is not right, change its location or get a real one.

a "correct" shackle angle is where it is angled towards the rear of the frame correct?

unless im retarted...which may be the case:D :haha: i measured from the middle of the bushing to the middle of the bushing. adn it was 49 1/2

alrighty im tyring to to this as low bck as possible so wheni get home from work ill go out and look at it again and try to decide what to do.

your rear shackle is leaned exactly opposite of the way it should be.

49-1/2 inches sounds like it just need some weight on it to flatten out.

from how im looking at my shackles (rear) they are verticle...im going to just move my rear hanger forward about 1 inch and see what happens then, im going to assume that will angle my shackles rearward, and allow me to put on the 6" springs.
