Well, I dunno what this is all about, but the truck feels like it hesitates to downshift between 2nd and third... and when it's in 3rd, around 35MPH, it feels like it jumps a little bit. Kinda like when I had a lockright in my other truck. But as far as I know, this truck doesn't have a locker/posi. I'm wondering if it's my ignition. I just replaced the plugs/wires about 3K ago, maybe less. And the carb was rebuilt about 6K ago. I shift the trans manually, but never abuse it to the point of it possibly breaking. Any ideas?

Looks like a vacuum issue to me... What kind of trans is it? You prolly lost / broke the trans vac line, which would explain both problems!!!

No vacuum line on a 700R4.

That symptom would only apply to Turbo 350's and 400's. On a 700R4, the TV cable provides most of the input from the engine about how hard to shift. If it's adjusted wrong, then the line pressures in the tranny will not be right. Check out www.700R4.com. They have instructions on setting the TV cable properly.
