truck light bars

I do not have any good pictures. The bar mounts are welded to the roof. The 12v actuator is controled by a 2 sided momentary on switch. I run them in the down position on the street and in low clearance areas when wheeling. Nice to be able to adjust them when out running in the boonies.

thats a really cool idea, i would never think of doing that to my truck if i put roof lights on it. thats the kinda light bar i was thinking of putting on my truck

I have bumper mounted lights on both of my trucks, with stock bumpers. I just drilled a hole big enough to accept the mounting bolt and away I went. They work fine for the kind of trail work you say you'll be doing, and they work great on the highway. I don't care if 100w bulbs are illegal on the highway, but the amount of light they throw out has saved my hide on more than one occasion.

Pics are in my sig.

the ones on the bumper are those 6x8" with 130watt replaced bulbs bought at a 4wd shop, the overhead rack is an old "Trailblazer" i believe they are out of business, but all 10 forward facing, 5 rear and 1 each side facing bulbs were all 55watt, i replaced 6 of the forwards with 100 watt bulbs.
the lens was recently replaced with actual glass, the old plexi-glass or whatever it was, started fading, frosting and turning yellow. looks alot nicer now, throws out a TON of light, and will kill the battery even with the engine running in about 5 minutes with all 10 forwards and bumper + headlights turned on.

i believe that ''trailblazer'' light bar company is out of business, i've been trying to find 1 of those lightbars for quite some time now!
