i have a 87 k5 and it pulls it self out of 4wd does any one know why. i had an 86 k5 that did the same thing what is the easyest way to fix. the truck has 12 in lift on it custom drive shafts. thanks. oh np-208 case

T-case shift fork is worn out or the shift detent spring is worn/broken.

My previous t-case would even slip into neutral just driving down the street. Shifter didn't move or anything just no power to the wheels for no good reason. I still have it, swapped in a good one, but haven't opened up the old one to find out what's up.

when i pull it back in 4wd high it will click, then i go through the mud and it just pulls out of 4wd .

You were thinking the same thing I was thinking...

that is what i thought.. we had road work up rt 295... and go fast enough... my truck would pop into neutral when i hit the bump...

oh... np203 - 3" bl

seems to be that np203 with no play.. the np205 with the sloppy linkages!!!!!

If i remember right, Pauls (Pauly383) his truck used to do that too, and also Allan's too, both had 208's, Allan tore his apart and found worn shift forks i believe. He had a REAL hard time to where the passenger had to hold it in 4lo to go anywhere with it.
