truck runs like butt all of a sudden???

drivin down the highway today just fine and then when i get off at the exit and pull upto the stop sign it gurgled down and went dead. i start it up and now it wont even idle and just dies. if i keep givin it gas she runs but sounds like its missin a ton and a high speed she seems to be runnin good. what could be the cause??

Carbed for FI?? If its carbed it could be vapor lock.

If it is fuel injected mine did that when I had an injector stick open and it basically flooded at low RPM and ran fine up high.

Sounds like a fuel pump to me.....if it won't idle but runs fine when at higher RPM.

Fuel related at least, maybe clogged filter....

Fuel filter could still be a possiblitly though, right?

If its carb'd, I would guess stuck float in the up position, flooding it at low rpm, but rev it up and it starts to clear its throat. TAP, not beat on the carb by the fuel inlet to maybe unstick the float. WHOOPS- I mean stuck in the down position so fuel keeps flowing into the carb. Is there a strong gas smell, or a puddle of gas round the carb?
