Well, here's some picture's of what my truck was..... has been through...... and what it is today. Very much thanks to all you guys who helped with all your information. But don't worry, it's still being worked on everyday, slowly turning into a "trail rig", just like the rest of yer rigs.

After lift and tires, very clean lookin' truck i must say......

After it rolled onto it's side because it didn't like doing wheelie's up rocky hills....

The good side made pretty with a billet grille and some vinyl stickers.

Tree jumped right out in front of me........

And ALMOST a present day photo of the truck all back together with new (used, not dented/broken, parts) new paint. But as always, there's still more to come........ thanks again everybody!

I like the color, looks good. But the pro comp sticker sort of looks out of place with it... perhaps. Who knows.. just an opinion.

Either way it looks good :thumb:

My guess is that you always are dodging trees while wheeling around Redding. Its a beautiful part of the country, but wheeling a fullsize in trees is difficult when the trails get narrow.

that tree looks like it did a number on your truck, but it looks fantastic now man. I like flat paint.

looked good in the first pic and the last pic. Glad to see you were able to fix it back up after all the abuse :wink1:

dig the color change! I may paint the 71 that color if I start replacing panels

thanks for the responses guys. The color is....... gosh it's either duplicolor, or krylon's camo line of paints. Olive drab and flat black are the two colors i used. When i whacked the tree, i hit it just about dead center between the two frame rails. Only damage done was the front part of the frame where the bumper mounts, folded over, cut it off, and put on a new front clip and doors. Yeah, the procomp sticker does look funky now that my truck isn't white and soft blue anymore. I'm working on getting some camo vinyl ordered to redo it. It's all work in progress. Thanks for the comments guys.

I hope my comment was taken ok. I really like the color combo, it's what I would paint mine, if it needed new paint. The sticker is fine, but it would look pretty sweet with stickers that fit the tone of the K5's colors. But, like you said, you're in the process of doing something like that. :thumb:

I love the OD & black, or OD & desert tan .. best combos in my book. :D

yer comment was was taken in all goodness man. As soon as it was done being painted me and some friends sat back and looked at it and realized it was (the vinlys) the only thing really standing out and not fitting the whole "image".

updated...

well, not having my truck @ my house, and not having a drivers liscense anymore has slowed down progress on my build. But heres a recent picture with the tiger stripes i started laying down and the 14b ff put under the rear.

care to elaborate...can't leave us hangin' with just that...lol
I'm sure there is a good story behind it. ;)

The truck is looking great btw.

well what do you want to hear more about, my truck, or my drivers license? haha, but yeah, sisters wedding.......... not realizing the time..... drove home @ 3 in the morning in my new brother inlaws lil' pickup with two kegs in the back on the main street of town pretty much. Got pulled over for expired registration, and the kegs gave me away. Underage...... there's more details, but it was a stupid decision in the first place....

rofl...so here in Cali if you are caught w/ alcohol in the vehicle its an automatic suspension of your license? Thats something to keep in mind ;)

Ok, more on the truck.

-Avery

if your caught in cali under age with the presence, possesion, or under the influence of alcohol it's an automatic DMV on year suspension. Court can issue a lesser suspension, but that doesn't even matter, because DMV says it's automatic one year, no restricted lisence for work or school. No driving period. But since i'm 21 in 2 months, i then qualify for a restricted liscence. so thats something to look forward too.

But yeah, about the truck...... have a flat top 44 front waiting to go in next, but i think i'm gonna wait until i get everything i want for it first before the install. Have the pass. knuckle machined so i can add crossover pretty much. disk brake swap on the 14b hopefully in the next couple weeks. detroits front and rear and 5.13's. But i keep telling myself to hold off for just a little bit longer on the front end because every week i get the feeling that i'll run into a dana 60. A man can dream right? I have a lil' bit of frame work to do for the front bumper mount, some b52 brackets for xmas hopefully...... you know how it goes....... it never ends, but it's goin... slowly:haha:
