Truckasaurus. The rebirth and resurrection of a fallen legend

Ha ha. Thanks guys. Only half the truck is painted and it is just primer at this point. Will be going blue when things settle back down.

The vid was taken by my friends wife. I have a lot more that I will be making into a Baja video for my YouTube channel.

The truck did great overall. Mileage was as good as 14 mpg at one point. We are really loaded down with enough stuff for a family of five without real access to food or water so a trailer is definitely in the future. It is just so hard to carry everything you need to keep the family happy.

A camping fridge is coming too. My friend had one and it was awesome. Coolers suck, you end up with a slurry of meat juice and dairy coating all your food. Fridge just makes so much more sense. Just wish they weren't so expensive.

Also I need to move my trans cooler. It is up in the engine bay (it is a remote mount dual fan derale) but it just doesn't get enough cool air to effectively cool. Once my trans gets hot it takes a while to cool down.

Apart from that the truck kicked ass. And brought back about three tons of Baja sand

hey do you have part numbers for the radiator hoses you used? my engine / radiator setup is identical, and i used some universal radiator hoses that i really don't like that much.

do you have any more pictures of your flowmaster next to the wraptor? or how you made sure the wraptor doesn't contact your passenger side muffler? i am trying to do my exhaust, and yours look REALLY close too. i've got a set of borla's for my truck, and they look about as wide as your flowmasters.

I ended up going into the back of the local parts store and just sorting through the radiator hoses they had as nothing I could find that should have fit did fit. The flow masters are close but not that close. Let me see if I can dig up a pic for you

these pictures make it look like it would hit with any suspension travel at all!
can i get a measurement from the driver's side frame rail to the wraptor?

hey got a question! my LQ4 had a bracket behind the factory power steering pump that secured it to another bolt in the side of the block. i'm swapping over to a PSC high pressure pump with a remote reservoir same as you got. did you re-use the factory bracket on the back of the new power steering pump? my PSC pump has two bolts back there, they seem like they would work, but they are torqued super tight. thanks!

when I swapped over to the PSC pump, I only had the two bolts and had the same concern as you. The way they are oriented and the load on the pulley made me realize they were going to be just fine. I pulled the bracket

Zero issues since I swapped

got another question, my power steering pump had a sensor plugged into it... power steering pressure sensor?
did you do anything to replace that sensor?
thanks

not sure what that could be for other than to tell you the PS steering fluid was low. Who is doing your harness and PCM? What year engine?

I still lurk here lol. Instagram and YouTube are my two big ones now. Still love this forum for all the information and talented and smart folks on here. I learned a ton from ck5.

It is tough to keep all the stuff updated and current across multiple platforms.
