Trying to determine if my engine is original its stamped VE112832.
Its in my 1972 K5 4x4 Blazer I have tried to look at the decoder site I found online
and I guess I am too stupid to do that because all I got was the Flint Michigan plant out of it.

Thanks for any help or suggestions. PG

The original engine would have had a partial VIN that matches the VIN tag on the truck--this is located on the passenger side cylinder head ,on the block where it sticks out past the head, there will be a partial VIN and a engine code like "TDR" at the end...

The casting "clock" on the rear of the block at the bell housing area on the drivers side may also be used to determine what plant made it and the date, etc, but I've never de-coded one of those myself...the other casted in numbers in that area identify the cubic inch size..
