Just found this....Kinda pricey if your only doing one cage. If you had multiple cages to do, then I think it's worth it.
I can see it saving a lot of time, tube and frustration.

It's a Baileigh model# TH-250.....Whats really cool about it is, you can clamp the tube down at anyplace in the bend.

Kind makes me want to build a new cage or two, so I can justify getting one.

I saw that recently when perusing their site...

I actually need a new notcher, the bushing in my cheap one sh*t the bed....

I tend to just use the chop for most of my fishmouths, but certain ones I like a notcher.. standard 90's and 45's in particular..

but being that I use it rarely, it's hard to justify anything over $75...

These are suposed to be the s**t. Pirate has a thread about it in the tool forum. I want one. I'm also going to desing and build and machine myown tube notcher. I'm trying to get into tool fabrication equipment manufacturing right now, and this was going to be something I wanted to tackle and design and engineer up anyways. Something unlike anything out there that works and funtions flawlesly. I love that chalenge. Building a tube rolling machine right now infact. From what I've read, and I've read plenty, I'd buy one in a second.

I talked my neighbor into buying one. {evilgrin} He installs fencing and builds gates and what not.

The thing is really nice. Unfortunately I was done with my cage by then though. I did steal it from him a couple weeks ago for the console and it sure was nice.

Eric, we will steal it when we build Issam's cage. :thumb:

$600 or so.. it's pricey as he!!...

most of the other "quality" notchers from pro tools, affordable, etc are in the 200 to 300 range usually..

I did my whole cage with a Harbor Freight notcher using a good hole saw and it worked but it just barely made it through the cage.
The next truck I have to cage I'm springing for a good one.

I just use the calculated "chop saw" (often actually band saw, sometimes angle grinder cut wheel) method posted so long ago. I've got better uses for that much money than on a dedicated tool useful only for that limited application, and that I can do as needed without too much more hassle.

Pff thats a sissy notcher.

Go big or go home guys :haha:

This thing makes notching tube FUN!
