I love this stuff......In my oppinion this was an exceptionally good turbo explosion! So this '96 freightliner FLT120 dump truck comes in on a hook........series 60. pre-egr. Check turbo. ok. That is the centre section that is hollow, I picked the turbine wheel out of the y-pipe at the back of the cab. it filleted the down tube, went through the muffler, cleared 3' of flex tube and stopped in the y-pipe. Had to drop the oil pan to pull most of those chunks of housing out of the inside of the block and bottom of the pan. The wheel actually "candy stripped" the down pipe. and cut through in a couple spots.........

I think thin oil, all 6 injector solenoids were leaking into the crankcase. I replaced all 6 and the turbo. owner operator of a 1.1 million mile dump truck was not looking to spend what he already spent on it.........I wasn't allowed to pull a rod cap or main. It won't live too much longer.

Nice another follower of the school of "stick my head in the sand and it'll be ok". And if it aint its your fault. Love what some of these people think.

Sounds about like the Ford LTL9000 we had where I used to work at. We dropped the oil and it had plenty of fuel in it. The 400 Cummins had 700,000 on it.

The company straight out told the shop to find out which injector was bad and only replace it...Idiots. They wouldnt let the guy I worked with fix it because they knew he would of just put a whole new set it. Quite frankly that motor needed a good going through anyway. We had just put a new 3rd member in the drive axle and not long after that a guy snapped an axleshaft...when it was empty no less.
