Turn signal issues

My turn signals started acting up this morning on my 97 Yukon, and I can't figure out why. The left TS works as normal, but the right TS indicator in the dash acts like it shotgunned a case of redbull and then did a speedball, and the lamps themselves aren't working. The TS module under the dash is for both sides, and since the left side works fine, I assume that the module (what's the correct term?) is fine. The contacts are clean. I haven't had a chance to look at it, but, I'm assuming it's a wiring issue. Any advice as to where to start looking?

usually when the bulb on the dash is flashing fast, it has a bulb out, either front or rear, just check the bulbs.

I had a short in my trailer harness that gave me fits.

x2 on the bulbs.

worst case that we change lots of up hear in the area i live. it might be a turnsignal switch . and fyi if you do need one just go dealer better parts. and you need a inverted tourqs socket to remove 2 bolts. i think its a little #3 bit.

I had this problem recently on a 00 Chevy van. Problem ended up being high resistance in the one turn signal socket. Bad wiring problem between the ground and ground wire. So anyway, it could be more than just a bulb. Check the bulbs first, then start checking the wiring all over, especially grounds.

So, did you fix it? Did you check the torsion bar crossmember? Could be the pass rocker is misaligned?

I took it apart and found that something short circuited and melted the circuit board in the taillight housing. Fun.
