tweaked hood... aftermarket support?

When I made mine, I even put that little bend in it and used 1 of the hinge bolts for a mount and also used like 4 or 5 self-tapping sheetmetal screws. Has worked great for 3 yrs now

Has anyone done this? Seems like a brilliant idea... I would love to see some pics if anyone has..... I just may try to find some hood pins and jeep hinges.. Wonder where I can order some jeep hinges new, because I don't think many are parted out around here very much......

Home Depot sells very heavy duty barn door hinges, if I remmeber correctly they look rather like heep hinges. Either weld them onto the hood for the fast-n-dirty or drill holes and capture bolts behind, etc etc.... and so on and so on and scooby ,......
